After a successful test of the bomb, two bombs were deployed in Japan. One bomb landed in Nagasaki, 3 days after the first, killing 60-80,000 people. And 3 days earlier, a much more well known bomb was dropped in Hiroshima, killing 90-140,000 people. Those right next to the deploy site were greeted with a split second of light, then immediate death, while those a couple miles out experienced unimaginable pain and suffering as their burnt, scarred bodies still inflicted pain. I would much rather be the closer one. Ouch. The bomb deployed in Nagasaki was called the fat man. The one dropped in Hiroshima was called Little boy.
